Nanoleaf lights consist of more than decorative wall panels and bulbs. The new Pegboard Desk Dock offers personalized lighting effects, storage hooks, and charging ports. Buyers can add the accessory to gaming desks now for $59.99.
Accessory Desktop Gadget Gaming Launch Smart Home Storage
Nanoleaf has shifted toward making its popular smart lights more functional. The Pegboard Desk Dock is a customizable gaming desk lamp with storage and charging capabilities. One side of the light is a pegboard that provides easy access to accessories like headsets and controllers. The opposite side boasts 64 color zones with screen-mirroring support. The Pegboard Desk Dock costs $59.99 and is available now at the Nanoleaf store.
Like the PC Screen Mirror Lightstrip, the new dock relies on Nanoleaf Desktop software. That likely rules out smartphone access, but it's a PC-focused accessory. With the Windows and MacOS program, users can choose from scenes that include lava lamp-themed patterns. The dock can also showcase Nanoleaf features like Orchestrator. While limited without a Nanoleaf Premium subscription, buyers will enjoy intelligent music-reactive effects.
Regardless of its orientation, the Pegboard Desk Dock's RGB lighting is visible. A pegboard illuminates accessories while a backlight casts a glow on nearby walls. Buyers receive four modular hooks that can accommodate various peripherals. The latest Nanoleaf lights also aim to improve cable management on desktops. Owners can access three USB ports with one USB-C port offering power delivery for charging.
Nanoleaf's dual-faceted invention is the latest example of the company organizing setups. Nanoleaf Blocks become practical wall panel lights with available pegboard squares. The manufacturer also partnered with Fantaqi to release the Expo Smart LED Display Cases. Still, the Pegboard Desk Dock is the most affordable option and compact enough to sit on a gaming desk.
